Year 5 and 6 camp 2015 Recount

Walt  organise my ideas into paragraphs and link them together.

Intro

Have you ever been on a amazing camp at school before? well I just had it last week, It was enjoyable. So that was the first camp I have ever been to, yep it’s the first camp I have ever been to. Well if you have not read my writing that I posted just go to my blog.

First Paragraph

If you do not know what the year 5 and 6 camp is well it is when you go to school and we do all kind of fun activities, like kayaking, cooking, top town but really it’s called killer zone, and there was also amazing race and again it was really called get lost. And do not forget you had to get into groups, I was in the group of the Mataponoe’ee, we also had to have two team leaders which was Machelle and Alfa.

1 Highlight

If I were to pick one of my favourite highlights it would be kayaking, this is the reason why I picked kayaking. Well it would be because my cousin was there for example for Mr Burt. So the other reason that I would pick kayaking was also because I got the chance to go on a boat with my team leader Machelle, and last but not least it was because I kept falling over and when I go up the kayak would always hit my head. And again it was my first time kayaking.

2 Highlight

So my second highlight of camp would be the day at Mangere pools. It is because I love swimming and because this is a pool that I have never ever been to. And there were three levels number It has a very deep pool that one of the year 5 girls drowned but she got saved by on of the lifeguard well lets just call them pool police. And there were two little pools at the bottom but it was not that deep, do not forget the slides, there were two of them. What do you think is your favourite pool, mine is the booming pool.

Conclusion
When we were coming back from the mangere pools in the bus I was feeling down because camp was almost over, although I was glad that sleeping on the hard ground was over. And I forgot to tell you this, did you know that the camp that we just had was the 25th year 5 and 6 camp. I hope the year four kids would like the camp next year.

Year 5 and 6 camp

Walt: make connections across a wide range of texts. So have you ever been on a camp at your school before? Well I am looking forward to going to the year 5 and 6 camp, we are going on the camp tomorrow I think that this camp would be a fun experience. And I have also being visiting other peoples blog, but the favourite blog that I have visited was Dezarae’s blog. if you want to see it just click this link. The way that Dezarae explained her story at camp was how she was scared that she was when there was a noise outside her tent. Also that they went to the mangere on the 4th of march on Friday. That is what we are going to do on Friday, I'm also looking forward to eating the yummy food. Dezarae's blog  What I have learned was how to make connections across a wide range of texts just like the Walt witch stand for we are learning to what ever you are learning.

Newspaper tower

Walt: write a detailed introduction with hook and orientation.

Do you know what newspaper tower is? It’s a game that involves newspaper and building the tallest tower you can make in 8 minutes. Well we did it this morning well we had to get into five groups, and also everyone went ahead and started.

The first normal routine we had to do was get our netbooks and sit on the mat. Well Mr Goodwin was speaking I was thinking how fun this would be. And next we got into five groups.

As soon as we divided into our groups of five. The people that was in my groups was Sulieti,Inez,Kura,Loseli, and Rima. Mr Goodwin gave us 5  pieces of newspapers and some tape and also he said that we had eight minutes to build our newspaper tower and a scissors. And we were panicking because we thought we will have at least fifteen minutes.

When Mr Goodwin setup the timer to eight minutes he said go!. And the game began the first Idea we had was to roll the paper  so that we can stack it and also to stick it with our sticky tape. As soon as 8 minutes was done Mr Goodwin called out and stop!.

When it was time for results it was time to put our master pies to the front. And we forgot to make something to balance our  newspaper tower. So we did not win or even had a master peace. So the there was only 2 towers that was made but we there was 2 that was not made including our team. The winner was Team Cameo.

I thought that it was an very funny,fun, and complex  experience.

But I was glad that they won and the winners was so lucky because that they got something special at morning tea.

What I learned was how to write a detailed introduction with hook and orientation. Just like the walt witch stand for we are learning to whatever your learning.

So have you ever been to the oamaru creek in GI? well that place is full of junk and rubbish. Its disgusting because when people  walks past they always use to chuck their rubbish on the ground then it flies to the river. So that is why we visited the oamaru creek.
