On the twenty first of September our crazy literacy teacher gave us a fragile little friend, which was a egg. It was me and Sulieti that took care of this egg. And the eggs name was Kong Hong. And yes it may be a funny name and it is a city's name. (We played the egg race)
So straight after Mr Goodwin told us everything we need to do, we got into groups of two and I was with Sulieti. After we got our egg we got markers and started to draw on it’s face. We lined up quietly in the porch and walked not quite silent but we still made it to our location where there egg race happened.
The game began and it was me that went first then Sulieti went, but before that he handed us a spoon.
“Three,Two,One,Go” yelled Mr Goodwin, Then I raced across the platform and down to the bark. It was very difficult to balance and run at the same time. Once I passed it to Sulieti she power walked through those monkey bars and sprinted while she was on the ground, and they both got there safe and sound.
As we were walking back to class the egg was lying on the palms of my soft hands. Did I tell you how relieved I was to see that the egg was not cracked like Talita's egg. But as we got near class the egg slipped out of my hands and I just, just caught it with my fingers. Just thinking about that moment gave me shivers.
It was fun doing that, yes I would do that again some other time soon. I think that it will be very fun for some little kids to do this activity. The egg race was difficult and fun at the same time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Description of learning: What I have learnt from this writing activity was how to think about my purpose and reader by planning my recount. And yes it is just like the walt. It was a very fun experience to do this game.
